Man Was Not Meant To Be Alone

Man was not meant to be alone which is why God created Woman.

The women was formed from Man's rib which serves to protect the Heart. This is why women are so nurturing, compassionate and guarded of their man's heart.

She is the bone of his bone. The bones are strong and hard and enables mobilty. They serve to support and protect the various organs of the body. This why women are powerful, tough and able to carry the burdens of her family.

She is the flesh of his flesh. The flesh is the soft substance of the body of a living thing. Women are softer, smooth and pleasant to the touch. This is why man has to handle her with tender loving care.

She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. This is why she is one with her man. She doesn't walk in front of him, nor does she walk behind him. She walks beside him because she is proud to be called his Woman.

Genesis 2:18 – 24

18) Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him." 19) Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name. 20) The man gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field, but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him. 21) So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. 22) The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. 23) The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." 24) For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

A Godly Marriage

I wanted to get my husband's perspective on a Godly marriage, so I decided to interview him. These are the words of Pastor Francis Fenderson regarding how to keep God in your marriage.

The first thing is to understand the proper order in your home and God's structure for the family. God has ordained the man to be the head of the house and the wife as a help mate.  In order to maintain a balance in your relationship you must be in alignment with your role in the home.

The man's role is to lead the family through prayer and being a covering in spiritual warfare. When the enemy sees the blood of Jesus on the head of the house he tends to retreat. Moreover, the husband must always show love and respect for his family.

The woman roles is to be on one accord with her husband. Constantly keeping him in prayer as he leads the family and always having an encouraging word in her mouth which serves as a source of strength.

You must realize that you need God and each other in order to have a successful marriage. Operating in the spirit of integrity, love and unity at all times so that your family will florish spiritually, mentally and morally.

Husbands Empowered by the Holy Spirit

In order to have the ability to lead your family you must be empowered by the Holy Spirit which represents the God in you. The Holy Spirit will help you to discern detrimental situations so that your character and integrity will not be challenged.

Things such as arguments that lead to physical altercations or ungodly devices that bring division or separation to the marriage can ultimately tear a family apart. You must possess the Holy Spirit so that if you are faced with these situations you will be able to handle them with humility and self discipline.

The Holy Spirit will guide you to your purpose so that you can fulfill your role as a husband, father, provider, protector, counselor and role model. In order to sustain the hard knocks that life brings, you need the spiritual reinforcement that the Holy Spirt provides.

You cannot go through life trying to execute things by your own strength. Zechariah 4:6 says " So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty".  The Holy Spirit is there to keep you on the path of righteousness, therefore let him empower you to be all that God intends for you to be.

Allow Your Husband To Be Who God Wants Him To Be

Wives, oftentimes you want to mold your husband into who you want him to be. You mean well because you want him to operate in his full potential. However, God has a greater purpose for him. Just let go and let God have his way so that he can shape your husband into who he has called him to be.

You will be surprised to see how God can pull out the King in your husband when you only see him as a Prince.  God sees him as a Lion when you may only see him as a Tiger because when God looks at him he sees more than you can ever imagine.

God can tranform your husband into a Man of Influence to be used for his Glory.  So step aside and let God's will be done, don't hinder God's progress by standing in the way of your husband's destiny.

A Man of Principles

A man of principles lives his life by a set of rules or standards, especially of good behavior or personal, ethical, moral and spiritual conduct. He adheres to a level of conviction that is usually set by his belief in God.

He is honest, trustworthy, and always respectful of others no matter how they may view him. He operates in the spirit of humility and self control and his temperment is even and unruffled.

He is a man who acknowledges his faults and owns his truths, always walking in the spirit of love and integrity. He cares deeply for his family and will always ensure that they are protected and provided for.

He is a man of one wife and will always remain faithful to his convenant of marriage. He treats his wife with loving kindness and supports her emotinally and spiritually.

He is a great role model for his children and a great mentor for all children who admire his godly ways and try to emulate his greatness.

Such a man is zealous in his obedience to God and his calling and he knows what his ordained purpose is. He meditiates on God's word day and night and is fully equipped to fight when the devices of the enemy try to rise up against him.

He lives to please the Lord because he knows that his blessings are tied to his relationship with God and everyone who is connected to him will be blessed through his service.
